The showroom

Fifty years FURNITURE STORE

A family furniture business in Rotherham. Half a century of trust built one sofa, one handshake at a time.

The floor that sold sofas for fifty years finally has a second floor

We rebuilt Homeflair on Shopify and turned organic search into the busiest room in the shop, without losing a thing that made the showroom work.

No.1

For priority local search terms in Rotherham

01

A name everyone in Rotherham knew, and Google didn't

Homeflair has sold fabric, leather and recliner sofas since 1972, with rattan and aluminium garden ranges and an average order value of 866 pounds. The showroom did its job. The website did almost nothing.

Decades of local trust were invisible online. An ageing WordPress site split the brand across two domains, and the demand Homeflair should have owned was quietly going to competitors with a fraction of the stock and none of the history.

02

The problem was never the product. It was the path to it.

03

What we built, room by room

01

Moved the whole shop to Shopify, kept every customer

A full migration from WordPress to Shopify with no loss of equity, 321 redirects imported and the split domains consolidated into one store with real authority.
SO THAT
Unique titles and meta descriptions across 756 products, a repaired mobile nav, and a fast, crawlable base to grow from.

02

Gave the category pages something to say

We built real depth into the pages that drive commercial search, starting with garden furniture as the template: a clear intro, structured headings, internal links and a focused FAQ.
SO THAT
Homeflair took position one for priority local terms, including garden furniture and ex display sofas in Rotherham.

03

Put the stock in the shop window of Google

A clean product feed and standard shopping campaigns segmented by margin tier rather than category, with a deliberate edge on local intent given the showroom advantage.

04

Turned one time visitors into an owned audience

Segmented welcome, abandoned cart and browse abandonment flows in Klaviyo, capturing the traffic that used to leave without a trace.
SO THAT
The list grew from zero to more than 1,000 subscribers, an asset the business now owns outright.

A name that ruled the showroom floor now rules the search results too rules the search results too

04

Where the new floor stands

Organic search went from an afterthought to the strongest channel in the business: traffic up 494 percent, clicks to the top category page up 531 percent, an email list grown from nothing to over a thousand, position one for the local terms that matter, and Google Business Profile interactions roughly doubled.
